After 20 centuries, it’s all too easy to forget that our expressions of faith in Jesus, himself a Jew, are based upon Jewish traditions.

Whenever we gather round the Lord’s Table for ‘Holy Communion’ (or ‘Eucharist’, or ‘the Lord’s Supper’), we are reminded of the last Passover supper that Jesus shared with followers, just before his death.

That important Passover meal followed his own centuries-long tradition, but with one or two strange departures from its very familiar routine.

So, on Friday 18th March, from 7.30pm, we’ll be offering an Open Fellowship – an evening for anyone who’s interested – to join us as we consider “Jesus in the Passover” and explore what was being remembered and what Jesus did and meant when saying, “Do this in remembrance of me”.

Our Open Fellowship evening will be led by Jill Gower, of House of Prayer, Fishergate. An offering will be taken to help defray costs.
All are most welcome.
