Jesus is the vine and the living water
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
(John 15 v 5)
PRAYER:
Jesus, You remind us that You are the True Vine, we are Your branches. Help us to stay joined to You, through our thoughts, words and actions.

In many cultures vines represent growth, life, renewal and interconnectedness.

CHILDREN’S ACTIVITY:
Buy some green grapes and some purple/black grapes. Ask an adult to cut them in half lengthways for you and remove any pips. Then mix them up in a bowl, close your eyes and see if you can guess which are the green grapes and which are the purple grapes just by tasting them.

FUN FACT:
In Spain there is a tradition for midnight on New Year’s Eve. Each person has twelve grapes, one grape must be eaten at every strike of the clock at midnight as the old year moves into the new year.
