A Mardle is defined as a “Norfolk and Suffolk dialect word meaning a chat”.  Our Mardle Group meet in the Prayer Room on Monday mornings from 10-11.30 a.m. and over refreshments, we reflectively discuss the previous weekend’s Services and other topics as the Spirit leads us.

Bible passages are often re-read, words of hymns reflected upon, with discussion of anything that we feel may need clarification from the readings or the sermons.  We always end our sessions with a prayer written by American theologian Leonard Sweet which we call our “Mardle Prayer”.

Anyone is welcome to join us as we ‘Mardle’ and enjoy a time of fellowship together.  There is no requirement to share in the conversation and none of us claim to be experts but by discussion we often help each other tease out and clarify things we don’t understand or are unsure of.

Why not come a ‘Mardling’ on a Monday morning and enrich your faith?
