Fun Day June 2024

Another sucessful Fun Day, despite a rain shower. Lots of fun on the inflatable slide, games to play, tug of war, lots of craft, face painting and temporary tattoos, a mountain of cakes and drinks plus a yummy BBQ. All free, our gift to our community.

Easter 2024

During our school visit from the local Cecil Gowing Infant School we had a surprise visit from the Easter Bunny, he also attended our Easter garden event.

We planned to be outside in the garden for this event but the weather was against us. However a great time was had indoors with craft activities, yummy food and lots of carol singing.

Fun Day 2022

We had a wonderful day with so many people attending our Fun Day, too many to count! Our local MP and our local councillor came along.

We served 400 burgers, 200 hot dogs and countless cakes and teas!

People enjoyed the traditional games and the bouncy slide, plus had opportunity to see our new community garden first hand. We made no charge for anything but trusted in God’s provision of donations. Of course, all costs were covered!

Diamond Anniversary weekend 2019

As part of our Diamond Year celebrations we had a weekend at which the President ( Revd Michaela A Youngson) and the Vice President (Bala Gnanapragasam) of the Methodist Conference were our guests of honour.  On the Saturday we had and afternoon tea meeting at which Bala spoke about their travels and on the Sunday Michaela preached the sermon.

Diamond Dinner March 2019

As part of our Diamond Year celebrations we hosted a dinner for representatives from the many community groups that use our building to say thanks for all that they do for the local area.

On the 8th of December we had lots of fun with a Messy Church Christingle, lots of crafts, songs, food and of course Christingles.

Lite & Life: October 2018

On Sunday the 28th of October we had a celebration of light and life.  There were lots of fairy lights and lights in jars, a lighted labyrinth a fire pit and chimera.  Fun, games and food and lots of praise.  Here are some pictures of the event.

Christmas 2017

 Over the Christmas season there have been a wide variety of events ranging from various family focused times, such as the Christingle evening and the family Carol service which were full of activity to the quiet contemplative midnight service.  Something for everybody.

Fun Day 2017

On Saturday the 10th of June we had our annual community Fun Day.  There were lots of activities, games and crafts.  There was plenty of refreshments, tea coffee and cakes plus a barbecue.  All free!  After a damp week the day was warm and sunny and it was great to see famlies, friends and visitors relaxing on the grass and enjoying themselves.
